When you deposit a check into your AMP Futures account, here's what to expect:
1. Check Processing:

Weekly Processing: AMP processes checks once a week.

Hold Period: After processing, your check is placed on a 5-business-day hold.
2. Monitoring Your Deposit: How to check the status of your Check deposit?

Log In: Access your account through the AMP Client Portal.

Check Holds: Navigate to "Treasury" > "Check Holds" to view your deposit status.

Status Updates:
- Submitted: Your check has been processed by AMP. You'll receive a confirmation email titled "Check Deposit Received – Confirmation," which includes a "Clear Date" indicating when the funds will be available.
- Released: Funds have been applied to your account balance.

3. Processing Timeline (Starting the day your Check Deposit has been processed by AMP)
- Day 1: AMP processes the check.
- Day 2: HOLD
- Day 3: HOLD
- Day 4: HOLD
- Day 5: HOLD
- Day 6: HOLD – Funds are added to your AMP statement balance and become available for trading in the next session.
On the 6th day, the funds will be processed on your nightly AMP statement and will be available to be used for trading in the next trading session, the date after the “Clear Date”.
Example Timeline (Assuming No Holidays):
- Monday: Check processing date.
- Tuesday: Funds on hold.
- Wednesday: Funds on hold.
- Thursday: Funds on hold.
- Friday: Funds on hold.
- Monday Night: Funds are added to your AMP statement balance and become available for trading in the next session.
Please Note: The 5-business-day hold excludes weekends and U.S. federal holidays.
