To convert currencies in your AMP Futures account, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your AMP Client Portal
- Use your username and password to access your account.
2. Navigate to Currency Conversions:
- Click on the "Treasury" tab.
- Select "Conversions"
3. Initiate a New Conversion:
- Click the "New Currency Conversion" button.
4. Choose Your Account and Conversion Type:
- Select your trading account number.
- Decide between:
- Buy: To cover a negative balance.
- Sell: To convert positive balances.
5. Enter Conversion Details:
- Specify the amount and currencies to convert.
- Review your recent statement balances displayed on the right side for reference.
- You can also check off "Full balance" and the balance of the currency you select that you want to "Buy" or "Sell" will automatically pre-populate.

In the above image example, the balance is negative -2707 AUD. By selecting AUD and clicking "Full balance," the amount of AUD to buy is auto-populated.

Here is another example image above with a positive balance of 3061.21 CHF. If you choose to check "Full balance," it will sell all CHF.

Examples:

#1 Covering a Negative Balance: If you have a -260 EUR balance and want to use your USD funds to offset it:
- Select "Buy" to acquire 260 EUR by selling the equivalent amount in USD.

#2 Standard Conversion: If you wish to convert 500 GBP to USD:
- Select "Sell" to exchange 500 GBP for its USD equivalent.
Click Treasury-Conversions
Click the "New Currency Conversion" button.
Select the Trading account number.
There are two options.
Buy - This option is used to cover a negative balance.
Sell - This option is used when you wish to do standard currency conversion with positive balances.
You can see your previous statement balances on the right side of the page.
#1 - So, for example, if you want to cover the negative 260 EUR balance from your USD balance, you will want to select the "Buy" option and then request to buy 260 EUR and sell USD. The request would look as follows.
#2 - Here is another example, if you want to do a standard currency conversion from positive balances, let's say you want to convert 500 GBP to USD. You want to make sure you select the "Sell" option and then request to sell 500 GBP and buy USD. The request would look as follows.
