First, you must log into the AMP client portal using the original 2FA method with your mobile number.
1. Log into Your AMP Client Portal:

Visit the AMP Client Portal Login.

Enter your username and password to access your account.
2. Set Up the Authenticator App:

Navigate to the "Profile" menu and select "Authenticator app".
Step 1:
Download a two-factor authenticator app Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device. (if you do not already have an either already installed). If you already have Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile device, you can use it.
3. Verify the Authenticator App:

After scanning the QR code or entering the key, the authenticator app will generate a unique code.

Enter this code in the confirmation box on the AMP Client Portal.
Example below:
A green confirmation message will appear, stating, "Your authenticator app has been verified."
4. Update Login Authentication Method:

Go to the "Profile" menu and select "Edit profile"

In the "Authentication type used in login" section, choose "Authenticator App".

Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom to apply the changes.
5. Logging in with the Authenticator App:

During future logins, after entering your username and password, you'll be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app.

Open the authenticator app on your mobile device to retrieve the current code and enter it to complete the login process.

Switching Back to SMS Authentication:

If you prefer to revert to SMS-based two-factor authentication:

Navigate to "Profile" > "Edit profile".

Change the "Authentication type used in login" back to "SMS".

Save the changes.

Alternatively, at the login screen, where it asks for the authenticator app code, you can select "Get an SMS" at the bottom.
