How to log into the AMP Client portal using an Authenticator app.

First, you must log into the AMP client portal using the original 2FA method with your mobile number.

Click this link to log in - https://www.ampclientportal.com/Identity/Account/Login

Once logged in, navigate to the "Profile" menu and select "Authenticator app."

Step 1:

Download a two-factor authenticator app

Download a two-factor authenticator app like Google Authenticator for Android and iOS or Microsoft Authenticator for Android and iOS

 

Step 2:

Scan the QR code with your mobile device.

Alternatively, you can enter a key that will be provided from the QR code section into your two-factor authenticator app. Spaces and casing do not matter.

Step 3:

Verification Code

Once you have scanned the QR code or input the key above, your two-factor authentication app will provide you with a unique code. Enter the code in the confirmation box below.

Once you enter the code, you will get a green confirmation at the top of the page saying, "Your authenticator app has been verified."

Now navigate to the "Profile" menu and select "Edit profile.". You will see "Authentication type used in login." Change it to "Authenticator App" and hit the blue "Save" button at the bottom.

 

You can log into your AMP client portal using your Authenticator app.

If you ever need to switch back to the original 2FA logging into the portal, you can always go back to Profile-Edit profile and simply switch back to "SMS" for the Authentication type used in login. Or, at the login screen, where it asks for the authenticator app code at the bottom, you can select "Get an SMS"
