CQG symbol abbreviations

Some trading platforms will use traditional exchange symbols even when using CQG as the data provider. However, some platforms will use CQG abbreviations instead.

Here is an example: For the Mini S&P 500, the exchange symbol is ES. However, the CQG symbol is EP.

For example, platforms such as Quantower or Multicharts will use the CQG abbreviations. So, for instance, if you try to search using the exchange symbol, the platform will not locate the symbol. Instead, it would be best to use the CQG abbreviation to find the symbol.
