Hey guys! This is great to see, good to talk to some other traders out there.
Its our pleasure to provide this forum for our traders.
I have decided to change from a discretionary trader to a systematic trading system trader. I have no coding knowledge. I would like to expedite my transition with a programmer that would be able to work closely with me to develop the trading codes to my trading rules. Using the MultiCharts.NET64 Edition with CQG feed right now. I am willing of course to compensate someone for their help and support through my learning curve with becoming a systematic trader.
no response to my question of help and support.
Hello Mark, please expose all your questions and trading ideas, here, in this forum, I will help you in the dificult but rewarding transition to becoming a systematic trader.

Hi JM,
I am obviously not sure where to start. I have a trading system I would like to program and would you recommend that I go to for instance to the website Microsoft Virtual Academy and watch videos on C# and learn first, or just start things off here and you perhaps can guide me with some questions I have. For instance my system uses a 5 points candlestick chart and my main entries occur with two exponential moving averages crossing with bar close and the entry bar is the opening of the following bar. I use the indicator of the vb_Pivot_High and the vb_Pivot_Low to determine a Trend that signal trade entries. For adding contracts when trending conditions are present, I would like to program a touch of the longer ema and then entry becoming a penetration of the shorter ema that is trending along side. I can get more specific of course but I am unsure now how to proceed. I am determined to become a systematic trader. I have learned that being a discretionary trader will not bring me success, because of having to deal with the fear and greed and my natural instincts.
Hello Mark,
I would recommend you stay here and ask what you need. There is a good Multicharts guide here (https://forum.ampfutures.com/hc/en-us/articles/220338348-MultiCharts-NET-Programming-Guide) and also if you ask any specific question I might be able to help you. C# is a vast and powerful language and when you start to leverage the basic concepts we use for algorithmic trading your learning curve will skyrocket!
